Temperature Field Analysis of Oil-Cooled Heat Dissipation in High-Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Abstract With the development of high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), requirements for speed are getting higher and higher, power density increase is bigger bigger. However, too high a loss will cause motor heat dissipation difficulties, resulting in insulation aging demagnetization failure, which seriously affects safe operation motor. Therefore, it necessary to analyze fluid field temperature oil-cooled PMSM. In this paper, 40 kW back-wound PMSM used as research object. Firstly, three-dimensional fluid-solid coupled transfer model established based on parameters motor, flow characteristics inside analyzed dynamics theory, then overall local rise distributions compared reveal influence each component after being cooled by cooling structure. Secondly, finite element model, rises oil with rate come up an optimized solution. Finally, accuracy analysis method verified conducting experiments prototype.
